About the 2011 Canadian Cancer Research Conference

The inaugural CCRC meeting was held from November 27-30, 2011 at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in downtown Toronto, Ontario. The scientific program, which featured six plenary sessions, 19 symposium sessions, nine poster discussion sessions, and 19 poster sessions, showcased the breadth and excellence of Canadian cancer research. The conference also provided trainees and new principal investigators with networking opportunities, increasing awareness of current Canadian researchers' programs. In addition to the scientific program, a Community Forum provided opportunities for non-scientists to learn about progress made through cancer research, and to ask questions of some leading researchers.

On behalf of the Canadian Cancer Research Alliance (CCRA), we would like to thank the organizing committee members, chairs, speakers, poster presenters, CCRA members, supporters, attendees,and staff for their contributions in making the inaugural CCRC a success. We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting.
