About Pathology Matters

The Pathology Matters Meeting, the annual meeting of the Ontario Molecular Pathology Research Network, aims to bring together practicing pathologists/clinical laboratory scientists and trainees in Ontario who are either engaged, or wish to become engaged, in high-quality translational cancer research in the province. The meeting will be a mix of presentations on current molecular pathology techniques which can be incorporated into clinical practices and discussion, presentations and resources for current research at the forefront of molecular pathology in Canada.

The Ontario Molecular Pathology Research Network (OMPRN), established in July 2016, is a province-wide network of pathologists collaborating to carry out high-quality cancer research with a clear potential for clinical impact. The OMPRN was established by the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR).

Attendees Travel and accommodation costs will be supported for 100 attendees. After that attendance will be self-funded and dependent on room capacity. For this reason pathologists, pathology trainees and MD/PhD clinical laboratory scientists with a Canadian College of Medical Geneticists (CCMG) fellowship or equivalent with hospital responsibilities will be prioritized.
